The Pharmacist Insider

Introduction

For years, I told myself that one day I would write an ebook to help junior pharmacists navigate the daunting start of their careers.

  • In reality, for a variety of reasons, I rarely sat down to actually plan it out.
  • However, as I began this journey, I found myself forging a clearer path while frequently repeating my own core ideas - a subtle form of "self-plagiarism" or echoing my past work.

The Pharmacy Insider

Content

The objective of this booklet is not to provide an exhaustive guide on disease management, nor is it a summary comparison of pharmacological drug classes.

  • If it were, you would find yourself expecting a new edition every few years just to keep up with updated management protocols.

Instead, The Pharmacist Insider is a synthesis of the wisdom and insights I have accumulated on how to truly function as a professional clinical pharmacist.

  • Unlike my blog posts, which were written by different versions of myself at various points in time, this represents a final roadmap.
  • It is designed to provide junior pharmacists with the implicit clinical insights they need to kickstart their journeys.

The primary characteristic of this book is its brevity; it is a "crash course" that can be finished in a single day.

  • My hope is that it rekindles your passion and allows you to walk more confidently because you are no longer lost.

Who This Is Not For

If you have already been established in your pharmacy career for several years, you should likely skip this book.

  • It is not intended to cover advanced clinical reasoning or highly complex, specialized pharmacy topics.

Summary

If you are a junior pharmacist looking for a clear, real-world starting point, The Pharmacist Insider is for you.

Additionally, for those who simply wish to support my work and the knowledge I share, I encourage you to purchase a copy.

  • Consider this booklet a small token of my appreciation for your support of my journey.

  1. Hi, I would like to thank you for your writing which has been of help to me. I wanted to buy this book, but am unable to as it says "Sorry, we couldn't complete your purchase
You can only buy Kindle titles on Amazon.com". I wonder why is this so?

    1. The process is somewhat complicated because the Amazon KDP store is unavailable in Malaysia. To make a purchase, you must change your delivery address to a US, UK or Australia address before proceeding to payment. Unfortunately, I only realized this after I had finished writing the ebook.
